Richard
A. Catalano
Rich is an audit partner in KPMG LLP's Long Island office located
in Melville, New York. Rich serves clients principally in the
fields of health care and life sciences at various stages of development
- from early start-up to large multinational companies. He also
provides assistance with the development of business plans, financial
due diligence, and initial public offerings.
Rich is a member of the board of directors of the New York Biotechnology
Association and also a founding board member and treasurer of
the Long Island Life Science Initiative. He also coordinates the
judging of the James D. Watson Helix Award presented by the Biotechnology
Industry Organization on behalf of the Long Island life science
community to the world's top biotechnology companies.
Rich is also member of American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, New York State Society of CPA's, and the Healthcare
Financial Management Association.
He received a bachelor of business administration degree specializing
in accounting from Hofstra University. He lives in Garden City with
his wife and their three sons.
