DNA: The Secret of Life
|
Help
us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the DNA structure,
which set the stage for recent efforts to determine the entire DNA
sequence of the human genome. In this hands-on exhibition, you can:
follow the path of ancient humans across the globe; compare your
characteristics to see how unique you are; find out how DNA sequencers
churn through the three billion bases of our genome; see the first
reconstruction of an adult Neandertal skeleton; and take a tour
through the genome, and stop at important "landmarks"
along the way . . .
The exhibition is open to the public and can be reserved for groups.
There is no charge for admission.
Exhibit hours:
Monday-Friday, 10 AM-4 PM
Saturday, 12 PM-4 PM (call for holiday hours)
Sunday, closed
