All are musical, especially Louise (III-16), who is already entered upon a career similar to her mother's. Louise's engagement to Ernest Stires has just been announced. He also is quite gifted musically, being able to sit at the piano and play anything he wishes. He is son of the rector of St. Thomas' Church on 5th Avenue, New York. Katherine, III-19, the mother says, shows more remarkable talent than her sister, though as yet at thirteen she is not practising at all. Katherine also paints. Little Helen (Hester?) III-15, aged six, gives fair promise of being a little genius. The son (III-17) is quite a high brow, expecting to enter Harvard next year at the age of seventeen. He is very interested in studies.
