Lies at Buck vs. Bell, Paul Lombardo

Interviewee: Paul Lombardo. Although Carrie was not feebleminded or morally degenerate, this was the way she was portrayed by the lawyers. (DNAi Location: Chronicle > Trial of Carrie Buck > Epilogue > A case built on falsehoods)

The case against Carrie Buck was built on false facts. She was not feebleminded, as alleged; she was not a moral degenerate. Evidence could've been presented to show that she attended the church choir, or that she had performed reasonably well in school. In fact, the falsehoods presented against Carrie Buck insured the decision wished not only by the lawyers who argued against her, but by the man appointed to defend her interests.
