Karen Orzel

Development Officer, Corporate and Government Relations

I am a native Californian, born and raised in the Los Angeles area. I graduated from the Annenberg School of Communications at USC. Since moving to New York, I have made Cold Spring Harbor my home. Little did I know that a world-renowned Laboratory and Learning Center were right in my midst! My two children have had the opportunity, through their schools, to experience fun and educational field trips to the DNA Learning Center. Now I have the opportunity to educate others about the wonderful aspects of Cold Spring Harbor and this educational gem right here in our own backyard. As for the science aspect, however, I think I'll leave that education to the amazing teaching staff here at the Learning Center. In my spare time (?!?), I enjoy hanging out with my kids, playing tennis, and reading.
