Doctors preforming euthanasia, Muller-Hill and Watson

Description:
Interviewee: Benno Muller-Hill, James Watson. Benno Müller-Hill and James Watson discuss what happened to Nazi doctors after the war and what can be learned from Hitler's attempt to make a perfect race. German psychiatrists and doctors learned about euthanasia in medical school and, so, saw nothing wrong with it. (DNAi Location: Chronicle > In the third reich > Epilogue > They couldn't see anything wrong.)
Transcript:
Watson: Do you think they felt they were murdering people? Müller-Hill: There it's most interesting that two other chiefs here, medical doctors and psychiatrists who were running this place here, kind of got away with it in 1962 by saying that they couldn't see anything wrong with killing those incurably insane, and they had learned this in the medical courses at the universities and so they couldn't see anything wrong, so in fact they got free. And so this went then up from court to court, and in 1972 the German Supreme Court decided that indeed, since they didn't see anything wrong there was nothing wrong with it, and they could be free.
